NOTICE TO ALL
STATE PINBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT PLAYERS - DISQUALIFICATION
WARNING
To create a level playing field
amongst all participants in the Texas State Pinball Championship
it is against the rules and considered un-sportsman like for any
player participating in the Texas State Pinball Championship
Tournament to play (aka practice) on a Wheel of Fortune
Pinball Machine outside of the tournament area that is on the
ballroom floor at the Texas Pinball Festival. Participants
competing in the Texas State Pinball Championship will be marked
to identify them as players in this tournament. Marked players
found playing/practicing on the Wheel of Fortune Pinball Machine
outside of the tournament area at the Texas Pinball Festival
will be DISQUALIFIED
and no longer allowed to participate in the remainder of the
tournament. All qualifying monies paid by disqualified
player(s) will be forfeited at the players expense. We thank you
for your cooperation in helping make this competition a fair
tournament amongst all players. No exceptions!
No
cherry picking (Texas State Pinball Championship)
To create a level playing field amongst players
participating in the Texas State Pinball Championship Tournament, there will be no
"cherry picking" of the machine player wishes to play
on. The next up to compete will play on the next available
machine....no exceptions.
Pinball Machines & Arcade Game
Pinball machines will be selected at a later date, so we can
bring in the best
and most up-to-date machines possible.
Pinball
machines and Arcade Games located within the tournament area are
for TOURNAMENTS ONLY. These machines will not be free play for
attendees to play as prize money and awards are at stake.
Stuck Balls
If the ball get stuck in the playing field, it can be pulled
and placed in an appropriate area to continue the game. In most
cases, the ball check will fix this problem. If a person tilts a
machine to free a ball, you will loose that ball, and continue
playing.
Pinball Malfunctions
In the unlikely event of a pinball malfunction, the player
will be given the option to have the problem fixed, or to start
the game over on a different machine. Our goal is to bring good
working pinball machines, but unexpected problems do occur.
Tilt and Slam Tilt
A standard pinball tilt is expected during a tournament game,
you will just simply loose your ball and continue playing the
game. A slam tilt is considered abuse of the machine and you will
be disqualified from
the Tournament.
Prizes
All
players have to be present to receive their prize. Awards
for each tournament will be given out shortly after each
tournament. The Texas State Pinball Championship Tournament is a three day event, prizes
will be given out on Sunday, once the finals have completed.
